For my first post on my brand new website, I tried to think of where my love of physics began. In high school, I usually told adults that I wanted to be a computer engineer (it sounded nice and I would get a “good job”). At some point along the way, the allure of the cosmos grabbed me and I knew that I wanted to study physics. I can’t remember which one I read first, or why I even picked them up, but I know that these two books shaped the path of my life more than any others.

From Mr. Sagan, I learned the awe that comes when you spend even a small amount of time pondering the vastness of space and time.
From Mr. Feynman, I learned that physics is fun. If you work hard enough, you can learn some of the secrets of the universe. I also learned that physics is not the only thing, life is about doing what makes you happy.
Needless to say, I highly recommend these books to people with any interest whatsoever in physics. Who knows? They could change your life.
